Can you parkerize a blued gun

My parkerized has been dragged, dropped, and generally neglected, with hardly any signs of wear to show for it all. I do oil it before shooting or toting it, and clean it well afterwards.

The least durable is bluing but is one of the most attractive tied with chroming and plating. Duracoat is by far the most cost effective and easiest to apply, and is also extremely durable.

Not much. The polished blue finish is the least durable of any finish on the market. It varies. Some parkerizing is black, some is grey. After it absorbs some cosmoline it turns greenish. White vinegar will neturalize rust and remove it, but it will also remove blueing and parkerizing.
