Ok, so I finished the game today, and was hoping that things might get better, but no, I still fucking hate Rico. Can anyone tell me why they decided to make his voice that way?
Was he like this in any of the other games? What was the part the made you hate him the most? Well for me, I hated when he would die and say, someone get me the fuck up! But the scene that did it for me was when they encounter the marine with the metal gear prototype after Templar dies, and he says shit about Templar, and Rico goes crazy, it just made me think, man I hope he dies, cuz he just goes crazy on the guy but i felt like saying, yes it sucks Templar is dead but no one gives a monkeys anus that you are offended, asshole.
Yeah, sort of weird how they give you a couple of reasons to hate him then don't follow through by having him die valiantly in battle or break down and turn on you or anything like that. Kind of hard to care about any of those characters considering nothing happens over most of the game. By the time those other three people got captured I had already sort of given up on the cast, so I didn't really feel any incentive to rescue them or anyhting, either.
True, by the time I got to the portion of the game where I had to rescue the three folks, it kinda felt like a chore but I remember it being one of the most engaging portions of the game in terms of gameplay. Ricco made a comment about all the people on the UG talking smack saying he was gonna lose or something.
Thing was he was right and it was a bunch of Trolls. Bad thing about that is he read this forum a lot and i think some of the fan hating got to his head. Agreed he doesnt get enough credit as a fighter-- but I think he does care-- didnt he mention this place in an interview?
As ghey as it sounds, many people here don't like him because he carries some fat on his frame. Even educated fans like their fighters to look like fighters. It is pretty stupid. And yes,I ve met him. He s not bad on a personal note. But quite cocky. Just about every UFC fight he pushes the action. I enjoyed immensley his fights against Williams or Monson.
He chumped a bunch of mma. They hated him ever since. Ricco is a nce guy and a world class fighter. He does get some hot chicks and he's very outspoken. I consider him my best friend in Las Vegas and someone I would allow into my house if he needed a place to stay. Ricco is still young and perhaps had lots of growing up to do when most of the people on here first got to know him via the internet and video clips.
He's a genuine good guy and lots of fun to hang with. I used to kick his ass at chess but recently he's turned the tables on me. He beats up on me when ever we train but that's ok, he never really hurts me. He owns a pet snake. He has a little daughter. He drives an escalade. He lives down the street from me, on the other side of the gated community.
Ricco is allright in my book. Anything else anyone wants to know? I am the man known as the spelling bee champ. I'm at the tail end of my fighting and wrestling career and I focus on making money nd collecting hoes for the most part.
